Jealousy is a major blockage for us. Jealousy twists our relationships with other people, it focuses all of our attention on the negative and the positive goes right out the window. "but he did not accept Cain and his gift. This made Cain very angry, and he looked dejected. "Why are you so angry?" the Lord asked Cain. "Why do you look so dejected? You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master." Genesis 4:5. Cain was jealous of Abel because he had given a better gift; the Lord told Cain that it was okay if you do something right, if you just accept it, but if you do something wrong, then you better be careful. Cain's anger did get the best of him in the end; he allowed that jealousy to take hold of him and ended up murdering his brother. Jealousy if we allow it to fester in our souls, will take hold of us and tear us down. We also must watch out and not let it ruin us. Luckily, my sister let me come back down so I could enjoy the party and my friend never held anything against me. We're still friends today.
The Lord helps us all realize that jealousy need not be a road block to hold us back from love and friendship; it should just be a pebble to be brushed aside. "Then I realized that my heart was bitter, and I was all torn up inside. I was so foolish and ignorant-I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you. Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand. You gide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny." Ps
