Cain and Abel made sacrifices to God. The Bible says Cain "presented some of his crops" to God and Abel brought the firstborn lambs from his flock. God accepted Abel's gifts but not Cain's and Cain was mad. Now here is the part I really like. I wish we could go back to the days when God could really talk to us.
"Why are you angry?" the Lord asked Cain. "Why do you look so dejected? You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master."
Cain did not master his anger, he killed his brother. There are times that I see a news report and I want to just shake the offender. What do you have to be angry about? You did somthing wrong!
Sin is crouching at all our doors and we must be the master over sin. Think about all this throughout your week. Master your sins and do right in the eyes of the Lord. Think twice and do what is right.
God Bless you all!
