As I walk my dog I go past this huge tree. I could stand on one side of it with hands outstretched and not reach around it. The bark is two inches deep. Each time we walk by it I look at it, I study it, I listen to it creak. I love to look at this tree and I wonder just how old it is. It is easily the biggest tree in our small village. There are 15 houses in our town, and 26 people and six of those houses do not burn wood so today I wondered if the town depleted it's own trees?
I also think about God on my walks, it's hard not to as I witness nature around me. I wondered what He said about trees and when I looked it up in the concordance I found this verse.
What kind of tree are you? I want to be a tree that bears good fruit and I want to continue to bear good fruit until I die. I think sometimes we can be a tree bearing bad fruit without even thinking about it. We can post something online that makes people question our faith. We can say something in passing that makes people wonder. I pray for strength to grow into a majestic tree that always glorifys God.
Peace be with you all this week. God Bless
