Today I went with my favorite husband, Dale, to see Big Bud 747 the "Largest tractor in the world" When they gave the dimensions I thought it sounded "huge" but when we saw it in the end of the machine shed it looked small. But when Dale stood next to the tire and it was taller than him...big again.
The farmers who own this tractor talked about plowing an acre a minute. 60 acres in one hour. My mother-in-law said, it used to take her dad two days to do 20 acres. And I thought 20 minutes to do what used to be done in two days.
Now days almost everything we do is done faster than ever before. We can't rush God though.
When the Bible was written God promised us in Revelation 3:11 I am coming soon, Hold fast. I have always wondered when is soon? When I was in highschool there would be preachers on TV telling a date that they knew was the date Christ would return again. I remember talking to my parents and saying if I were God and that was the right date, I would change it just to spite that person who guessed right.
So in this high speed world take a moment today and think about your walk with Christ. Take the slow road, spend time with God in the Bible. Take the time to worship and glorify our one true God. God Bless you all this week!
