Proverbs 17:28 Even a fool who keep silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.
Hum...I don't think I've ever been able to stay quiet enough to be "deemed intelligent"
Proberbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.
2Timothy 2:14-15 Remind them of these things, and charge them before God not to quarrel about words, which does no good, but oly ruins the hearers. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
The focus of this was, is the fact that we need to use our words to help others on their walk with God. My grandma's had a prayer in her Bible that I often say "Lord, keep your hand on my shoulder, and the other hand over my mouth." But now I'd like to pray that God helps me to quiet when needed, so that I will be deemed intellgent and I pray that God gives me the words to speak so that no one is left behind because of something I didn't say. I pray that my words and actions lead others to walk with God. Amen
